MIRT Program

This program is sponsored by the Division of Epidemiology of the University of Washington and the Fogarty Foundation during the Summer. It began in Ecuador in 1994.

This ten week program provides a hand on training on basic Public Health and Epidemiological research. An introduction to Epidemiology is provided during the first three weeks, when the students participate in a project design.
During the rest of the quarter, the students contribute in the implementation, data collection, statistical analysis and report writing on the research process.
