EPIDEMIOLOGICAL RESEARCH

This program is designed as an introductory epidemiological research program for students interested in Medical, Epidemiological and Public Health aspects.
It includes three main components:


•A short introductory program on Epidemiological Methods. A definition of an research process on an important community health problem is defined with the participation of faculty, students and community leaders.


•Field work to collect the data is developed, which includes sampling design, questionnaire development, data entry procedures, etc. The students use Epi-Info, SPSS, GIS and other statistical software.
•Building data bases, analysing the data, writing a final report and making an oral presentation help the students integrate their theoretical and practical experience.
